Points and Line Chart (P&L) – A New Type of Chart to Get Strong and Clear Signals

Tuesday, 14 October 2014; 12:00PM – 1:00AM (EDT)

Presenter: Mohamed Ashraf, CFTe, CETA, MFTA

About the Presentation

Mohamed will make a presentation on his Master of Financial Technical Analysis (MFTA) thesis, Points and Line Chart. He will demonstrate how to draw his simplest price chart that only uses points and a line. The chart has the merit of maximizing the benefits of the point and figure chart using its filtration criteria but at the same time will have the line chart advantages including smoothed trend display, the use of closing price, price patterns, and trend lines. What is very brilliant about this type of chart is adding volume, time (or number of days), applying technical indicators, moving averages and oscillators.
